  • Elora Farmers’ Market, outside The General Store, downtown Elora, Saturday July 10. Book signing. Sonia’s Ravishing Redcurrant Cake (featured in her book, Middle-Aged Spread) will also be on sale, along with the book.

  • Gladstone Library, Bloor Street West at Dufferin, Toronto. Thurs, July 15. Talk on growing food in the city. Books available for sale, which she will autograph.

  • Festival of India, Centre Island, Toronto Islands. Sunday, July 18. Sonia is giving a talk on growing organic food at 2 pm. Look for her in the speakers’ tent.

  • Royal Botanical Gardens, Burlington. Thursday, August 5, at 5 pm. Launch of their brand new vegetable gardens. Details TBA

  • Creemore Farmers' Market, downtown Creemore. 9 am, Sat. August 7. Then at 2 pm, at Curiosity House Books in Creemore. Sonia will be selling and autographing Middle-Aged Spread and Incredible Edibles and possibly selling some heirloom tomatoes from her garden!)

  • Viva Italia! at the Toronto Botanical Garden, Thursday, Aug. 26.
    Sonia's taking part in a grand "cook-out" of delicious stuff from the TBG's vegetable garden. She'll make recommendations on what to grow and sign her books. More at: www.torontobotanicalgarden.ca

  • Stratford Garlic Festival, Stratford, Ontario. Saturday, Sept. 18, 10 am to 5 pm. Fun event which now draws thousands, local farmers, great garlic to plant and taste. Sonia speaks during the lunch hour on "Growing garlic in small gardens" and will have a booth selling her books.
