I\u2019M OFF ON A NEW ADVENTURE \u00a0– IN NEWFOUNDLAND<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I recently moved from Fergus, Ontario to a “saltbox by the sea\u201d in Bay Roberts, on beautiful Conception Bay, in the Avalon Peninsula. Quite a switch, at my age! But I fell in love with Newfoundland a few years ago and it\u2019s exciting to be doing something different, so late in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I\u2019m taking part in “Art Around The Bay\u201d at the nearby Cupid\u2019s Legacy Centre. Here are some of my small paintings that will be included in this exhibition.  They depict \u201cstages\u201d  – the structures and docks at the water\u2019s edge where fishermen clean their catch. They are on sale for $80 each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These icons of Newfoundland life are fascinating – and I have started a series of  paintings of them. Come and see the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My latest novel, the Newfoundland Lunch Party, is finding fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It won a 2025 Gold Medal from GardenComm International, a U.S.-based organization that recognizes the talents of people in garden communications around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve also spoken at several venues on my inspiration for this story about four women, all enthusiastic gardeners, who meet up in Newfoundland and make an amazing discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
